Smile like a crocodile
To ‘smile like a crocodile’ you have to first ‘stop the rot’ and that is exactly what the campaign for dental hygiene, recently endorsed by the NDNA, aims to do.
The campaign offers nurseries free fun packs to encourage children to have healthy teeth and gums. The packs include four activity guides, a Smiley the Crocodile puppet, stickers, reward charts, a song, certificates and an interactive PC game. An information leaflet for parents forms part of the set.
Nurseries do not have to introduce teeth brushing, unless they wish to do so. But staff are encouraged to give demonstrations on how to brush teeth correctly with one of five free Oral B toothbrushes included in the pack.
To sign up for your free resource pack (limited to one pack per nursery) visit www.stop-the-rot.co.uk
